Hey, I’m Despina!

I’m a mum of a leader -talking objectively of course!-, a caring early childhood teacher and a lifelong learner.

My hope is to support and guide parents, who want the best for their children, but they, also, go through challenging and overwhelming times through their parenting journey.

Let’s admit it … parenting is hard and no matter your experience and knowledge beforehand, no one and nothing can prepare you for this journey.

It is a constant work in progress as many things in this life.

This is our safe space to discuss the good, the bad and the ugly.

The good news is that there are tools, strategies, research and professionals that can make this journey smoother and more rewarding.

Our goal for us, as parents, is to become the best version of ourselves in order to grow the leaders of the future generations.

Our ultimate goals is that our children will lead their own and -why not- other people’s lives equipped with life-long skills successfully.

My life in dot points…

  • I grew up in a small village with my parents and three siblings.
  • My studies and my working experience in Early Childhood Education sums up to 15 years now.
  • I love feeling creative and I am lucky that I need to be creative for my work!
  • Ditching perfection is a game changer and a life lesson for me that makes me a happier human being and parent.
  • My partner and I are getting closer to 10 years of married life and 4 years of parenting life.
  • I’m really proud of myself as I managed to complete my Masters’ first being pregnant and later on having a baby, who was a toddler at my graduation. I wouldn’t be able to make it without the support of my husband though.
  • While I was doing my research about leadership skills in young children towards the end of my Master’s, my husband and I were joking “Yes! Our son is a leader!” And then I realised, it should not be a joke anymore! All children should reach their full potentials as leaders!

I’m looking forward to e-meeting you all, receiving your feedback and your requests for posts!

Take care & happy reading,

Despina
